August PC GOP Executive Committee Meeting
The Pender County GOP is calling an Executive Committee Meeting to take place on Thursday, August 20th.
Location - EGGS UP GRILL in Hampstead (36 Station Way, Unit A Hampstead, NC 28443)
The Executive Committee Meeting will begin immediately following our normal monthly meeting with special guest Speaker, NC Labor Commissioner Luke Farley.

Doors open at 6pm and food will be available for purchase.
Our monthly meeting will begin at 6:45pm.
For our Executive Committee Meeting -
Our Executive Committee Meeting will immediately follow our monthly meeting.
This Executive Committee Meeting is being held to recommend an appointment for County Commissioner representing District 1. Our current District 1 County Commissioner, Brad George has resigned and his resignation goes into effect on Saturday, August 1st.
We want to thank Mr. George for his many years of service as County Commissioner and Board of Education member.
Let this message serve as notice to all Pender County registered Republicans residing in District 1
of an open process for residents to self-nominate themselves for this position.
This appointment will remain up to the swearing in of a new District 1 County Commissioner in December, following our November 3rd elections.
The Pender County GOP will be accepting self-nominations through 5pm on Monday, August 10th, 2026.
To be considered, please send your resume or letter of self-nomination to our Secretary, Lynn Norwood @ [email protected]
On Wednesday, August 12th, Lynn Norwood will send the Executive Committee an email with the nominees along with a copy of documents submitted.
Lynn will confirm receipt of your self-nomination within 48 hours. If you do not receive a response from Lynn, it is your responsibility to follow up with Lynn to ensure your nomination has been received.
Those submitting a self-nomination will have an opportunity to address the PC GOP Executive Committee on August 20th, prior to the vote.
While all Pender County registered republicans can attend the meeting, only the PC GOP Executive Committee will be permitted to participate in the discussion and vote. If you are on the PC GOP Executive Committee, in order to vote, you are required to be present by 7:30pm for credentialing.
