A New Years message from our Chair

Best Wishes for 2021!!!

Hopefully, everyone had a great Holiday Season, it was one like no other that I had experienced.

One of my neighbors stated she was staying awake till midnight New Year’s Eve, not to wish in 2021, but to make sure 2020 leaves.

Let us be grateful that President Trump approached the pandemic with concern but also as any good businessperson would facing a crisis with their business. Vaccines are being shipped and there is
light at the end of Covid 19. This is going to take time so please remain vigilant and stay safe.

Congratulations to all Pender GOP members. We did our job. Every GOP candidate carry our county with over 60% of the vote.

Senator Thom Tillis and Congressman David Rouzer will be returning to Washington. State Senator Bill Rabon and State House Representative CarsonSmith will be back in Raleigh. Jackie Newton and
Fred McCoy won; this keeps all five County Commissioners from our party. The same holds true for the County Board of Education with Brad George and Don Hall’s victories. Congratulations to
Cindy Fontana on becoming Chairperson for TheSchool Board.

All eight candidates for our judicial system beat their opponents. We picked up two judges on the State Supreme Court and Judge Paul Newby will be The Chief Justice on The State Supreme Court.

Statewide great gains were made in the Council of State contests. There is much to be grateful for with outcome, with only few disappointments.

There is a new GOP group in Pender County. Pender County GOP Women’s group, please wish for their success.

Please watch for our next meeting which will be a celebration of Pender County success this past November. We will be holding our County Convention in March. Stay alert for more information.
